2013 Accomplishments
- 727 Quilts (Fabric Hugs) were created by QuiltWorks volunteers for those in need.
- Included were 47 bed quilts for Love a Child Orphanage in Liberia, Africa in
- collaboration with Rugged Elegance Foundation., our first international project.
- 2384 Pillowcases (Dream Enhancers) were created by QuiltWorks volunteers.
- We introduced quilting to more than 100 first time quilters here in SF.
- We established www.FABSF.org , our on-line boutique.
- Established on-going collaboration with Under One Roof in Castro and Crocker Galleria.
- Established Open Studio, our classroom opens free to public first Sat. each month.
- Established a pilot after-school program.
- Established two youth quilting programs here at our QuiltWorks Classroom .
- Established pilot satellite programs with Visitation Valley Library and San Francisco Tenderloin Mental Health Clinic.
- We collaborated with two agencies awarded grants for quilt making in SF using QuilitWorks equipment and facilities as part of their grants.
